Washington State joins antitrust lawsuit against LCD panel makers

Washington State attorney general Rob McKenna joined the antitrust action against major TFT-LCD panel makers on August 12, and filed a lawsuit accusing Samsung Electronics, LG Display (LGD), Toshiba, Sharp, AU Optronics (AUO), Chimei Innolux (CMI) and other companies of fixing prices.
Other defendants include AUO America, Chi Mei Optoelectronics (CMO) USA, Epson Imaging Devices, Epson Electronics America, Hitachi Displays, Hitachi Electronic Devices (USA), LGD America, Samsung Semiconductor, Samsung Electronics America, Sharp Electronics, Toshiba America Electronics Components, Toshiba America Information Systems, and Toshiba Mobile Display Technology.
The US states of New York, Illinois and Florida have also filed antitrust lawsuits against major LCD panel makers over alleged price-fixing.
