3G mobile service provider APBT sees improving operations

Asia Pacific Broadband Telecom (APBT), the only 3G mobile telecom carrier adopting CDMA2000 in Taiwan, had unaudited net operating profit of NT$1.740 billion (US$53 million) and net profit of 1.526 billion for January-June 2010, an increase on year of 218.63% and 360.32% respectively, compared with 27.36% growth in the corresponding revenues of NT$10.978 billion, according to the company.
APBT has nearly 2.60 million subscribers currently and expects the number to increase to 2.70 million by the end of 2010, the company indicated.
