Tatung Group to see growth in LCD monitor shipments in 2010

The Tatung Group is expected to see a 20-30% on-year shipment growth in its LCD monitor OEM business in 2010, while the company's own-brand LCD TV business is expected to see shipments of one million units, according to market sources.
Tatung, the largest shareholder of Chunghwa Picture Tubes (CPT), plans to reassign executives and consolidates its subsidiaries to improve its business operations, the sources noted.
In 2009, Tatung shipped about three million LCD TVs for its OEM business, and three million LCD monitors, the sources said.
Tatung is among the top-three domestic LCD TV brands in the Taiwan market and the number-seven LCD monitor OEM worldwide, the sources added.
