Yunnan Metropolitan's net profit surges 79.36% in Q1

Yunnan Metropolitan Real Estate Development Co Ltd<600239>, which mainly operates in Kunming, Dali and Dongchuan of Yunnan Province, on Friday said that its net profit attributable to shareholders was RMB 25.30 million in the first quarter of the year, up 79.36% year on year, sources reported.
In a statement filed with the Shanghai Stock Exchange, the company attributed the profit surge to an increase in sales revenue and to its expanding business scope.
The company's basic earnings per share were RMB 0.04 in the period, 17.8% less than in the first quarter of last year, according to the statement.
Reportedly, in 2009, Yunnan Metropolitan saw its net profit surge 271.03% to RMB 211 million year on year. The company realized RMB 2.1 billion in operating revenue last year, 386.85% more than in 2008. Its earnings per share jumped 215.80% to RMB 0.36.
