China's industrial profits for Jan-Jul surge 61.1%

China saw the profits of industrial companies in 24 regions total RMB 1.88 trillion in the first seven months of this year, 61.1% more than in the corresponding period of 2009, according to statistics released by the country's National Bureau of Statistics.
The growth was 10.7 percentage points lower than that in the first half of this year.
Among the 39 industrial categories in the survey, 36 of which saw profit growth. The survey covers industrial enterprises with core business revenues above RMB 5 million annually.
Core operating revenue of large industrial enterprises in the 24 regions totaled RMB 30.45 trillion, up 34.7% year on year, and the growth was 1.8 percentage points lower than in the first half.
The growth was 10.7 percentage points lower than that in the first half of this year.
