Beijing's foreign trade up 21.1% in Jul

The import and export value in Beijing grew 21.1% year on year to US$25.26 billion in July this year, according to the latest statistics from the Beijing Customs.
The city's exports rose 28.8% year on year to US$5.08 billion last month, and its imports rose 19.6% year on year to US$20.18 billion.
In the first seven months of this year, the capital city saw its foreign trade soar 52.8% year on year to US$169.6 billion. Export value increased 17.9% year on year to US$31.1 billion during the period, and import value jumped 63.7% year on year to US$138.5 billion.
Beijing recorded a trade deficit of US$107.4 billion in the first seven months, 84.4% more than in the same period of last year.
Trade value between Beijing and its top three trade partners, the E.U., the ASEAN member countries and the U.S. was US$22.22 billion, US$11.39 billion and US$10.57 billion during the period, up 55.5%, 51.6% and 23% year on year, respectively. Beijing's trade with Japan rose 18.9% year on year to US$10.23 billion during the period.
In the first six months, Beijing exported US$18.8 billion worth of mechanical and electronics products, 11.5% more than in the same period of 2009. Export volume of cell phones grew 25.7% to more than 100 million units.
