China will continue to see slowdown in growth of its gross domestic product in the third quarter of this year, due to weakening effect of stimulus policies and relatively high base figure, according to a report released by the State Information Center yesterday.

The country's GDP is estimated to grow 9.2% year on year in the third quarter, according to the report.

Consumer price index may increase about 3% in the quarter, said the SIC.

The center said that the Chinese government in the second half of this year will increase support to emerging industries, private investment and the construction of apartments for low-income families.

China's GDP grew 11.1% in the first half of this year. GDP growth slowed to 10.3% in the second quarter.
