Japan's exports to China amounted to US$11.05 billion, up 75.8% year on year, according to statistics recently released by China Customs.
The growth was mainly attributable to the increasing exports of automobiles, electronic products and electronic parts. Statistics showed that the growth rate of Japan's exports to China in January was far higher than that to the U.S. and Europe.
Japan's total export value reached ¥4.9 trillion in January, up 40.9% from a year ago, while the total import value grew 8.6% year on year to ¥4.8 trillion. The country recorded a trade surplus of ¥85.2 billion in the month, representing an increase for 12 consecutive months.
