All Ring Tech is expected to see revenues reach an all-time high in 2010, according to industry sources. The equipment maker has started fulfilling orders placed by IC backend and flat panel customers with order visibility reaching the fourth quarter of the year, the sources said.
Advanced Semiconductor Engineering (ASE) and Silicon Precision Industries (SPIL) are among All Ring's major clients, the sources indicated. Both IC packaging and testing houses have stepped up investment in capacity expansions.
All Ring also supplies equipment for AU Optronics' (AUO's) and Chimei Innolux' (CMI's) new-generation facilities, the sources noted. AUO's 8.5G plant recently kicked off equipment installation, the sources added.
All Ring reported revenues of NT$130 million (US$4 million) for June 2100, hitting a monthly record for the second consecutive month. The company credited the results to strong demand from passive component customers, and growing orders of LED packaging equipment.
All Ring said sales of its main product line for passive component manufacturing accounted for 50% of its total revenues in the first half of 2010. In addition to customers in Taiwan, the equipment maker has cut into the supply chain of an unspecified Japan-based vendor.
All Ring's business for LED applications, which it entered in the second half of 2009, will be buoyed by orders from several Taiwan-based LED packaging houses, the equipment maker was quoted in previous reports. All Ring expects sales of its LED packaging equipment to contribute 10-15% to the company's overall revenues in 2010.
All Ring's revenues from April through June totaled NT$322 million, up 79% sequentially. Revenues for the first six months of 2010 were NT$503 million, up 148.5% from a year earlier.
