Global PCB industry to grow more than 12% in 2010, says Prismark
Source :Prismark update : 2010-07-20
The production value of the global PCB industry is expected to grow 12.4% on year to US$46.316 billion in 2010 after posting a decline of 14.8% in 2009, according to Shiuh-Kao Chiang, managing partner at market research firm Prismark Partners.
The PCB industry will continue to expand by 7.1% in 2011, according to Prismark data.
This year's growth has been driven by increasing demand and inventory build-ups, which has in return pushed up PCB prices, Chiang commented.
However, Chiang warned that the second half of 2010 will remain a challenge for the industry after a strong rebound in the first half and also due to a slow pace of recovery in the US and Europe.
