25-26 million LCD TVs sold in China market in 2009

In the China market, 25-26 million LCD TVs were sold in 2009, with local vendors having a combined market share of 70-80%, according to market sources in Taiwan.
Hisense was top vendor in the market in 2009, followed by TCL, Skyworth, Konka, Changhong, Haier and Prima, the sources cited China-based vendors as indicating.
Sales in China in 2010 are forecast at 34-36 million LCD TVs, and local vendors are expected to maintain their high market share, the sources indicated.
