Source :Digitimes update : 2010-03-03
Prices of LCD panels will edge up slightly in the first half of March 2010, with monitor panels increasing US$2 from a month earlier, notebook panels remaining flat or edging up US$1 on average, while TV panels will mostly stay flat, according to a Chinese-language Economic Daily News (EDN) report citing data from WitsView.
LCD panel prices for the second quarter of 2010 are likely to drift downward due to seasonal factors, relatively high levels of panel inventory in China, and possible price cuts by Korea-based vendors, the paper quoted AUO (AU Optronics) president LJ Chen as saying.
