"This year, there will be 6 million handheld TV subscribers, and 4 million mobile telephone TV subscribers and the network will cover 1.2 billion users all over China in three years. In the future 5 years, the basic business users of handheld TV will reach 100 million and value-added business users exceed 40 million" said Mr. Sun.

June 29, CBC, under the Administrative Bureau of Radio Station of the State Administration of Radio Film and TV, announced that it has successfully embedded its CMMB operation in the vehicles under FAW-Besturn. It is the first time that mobile television technology is fully applied in the filed of automobile manufacture.

"It's only a start of our cooperation with FAW," said Mr. Sun, "the industrial pattern of CMMB will not be limited in 3G mobile phones or automobile terminals, our products can be applied in any mobile terminals."

June 22, WASU announced that the integrated broadcast and control platform made by the company for 3G mobile phone TV formally obtained the testing and acceptance of the State Administration of Radio Film and TV, and then to be the first one that passes the testing and acceptance of the above institution. The full name of the platform is "China mobile phone TV broadcast & control platform". Presently, it can support at least 500 content service providers of mobile phone TV.
