Huawei Terminal Shipments Up 39% in H1'10

Huawei Technologies Co., Ltd. captured a terminal shipment of about 50 million units in the first half of 2010, soaring 39 percent year on year and ranking No.1 among its domestic peers, according to half-yearly financial results the leading Chinese telecom equipment provider released today.
Of the total, 22 million units are mobile broadband equipment, surging 68 percent. Mobile phone shipment reached about 13 million units and that of smartphones rose around 200 percent from the total of last year. Integrated terminal sales revenue went up by 70 percent from a year ago and that of video terminals increased by 54 percent.
During the six months, Huawei saw terminal shipment grow fast in markets overseas, with the growths in the US, Japan, Russia, and Middle Asia exceeding 100 percent, each. In the domestic market, it embraced contractual sales of CNY 5 billion, which is expected to exceed CNY 10 billion at the end of this year.
