Turnover Of Telecoms Industry Up 21.6%

The telecoms industry recorded a 21.6 percent year-on-year increase in total turnover to 1.23 trillion yuan in the first five months of the year, reports Securities Times, citing the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
Revenue from the telecom industry's main business in the first five months rose 5.9 percent year-on-year to 359.51 billion yuan.
The total number of phone users increased by 40.77 million in the first five months to 1.1 billion.
The share price of China Unicom dropped 3.14 percent to close at 5.25 yuan per share today.
