Network equipment maker Hitron looks to revenues of NT$5 billion in 2010

Taiwan-based network equipment maker Hitron Technologies expects its revenues to top NT$5 billion (US$156 million) in 2010 compared to NT$4 billion in 2009, buoyed by increasing demand from China.
Sales of cable modems, mostly shipped to the China market, totaled NT$2.1 billion in 2009 and are expected to grow 40% to close to NT$3 billion in 2010, the company projected. In addition, the company also projected to ship 300,000 IP TVs to China this year.
The company also reported that its pre-tax profits grew more than 100% to NT$169 million in 2009, translating into a pre-tax EPS of NT$1.22 for the year.
