China market: Mobile IM accounts rise to over 136 million in 4Q09

The number of active handset-based instant messenger (IM) accounts in China increased to 136.39 million as of the end of the fourth quarter of 2009, rising 21.58% sequentially, according to China-based consulting company Analysys International.
The total number of registered accounts stood at 350.51 million, increasing 16.57% sequentially, Analysys indicated.
