Throughput at Qinhuangdao Port rises 13.9% yr-on-yr in H1

Throughput at Qinhuangdao Port, the world's largest coal port, hit 130 million tons in the first half. Of that, 112 million tons was coal, up 13.9 percent year on year.
The port authority said as the port's busy season arrives, it will give priority to coal shipments destined for thermal power plants in Shanghai Municipality and eight provinces in southeast China to ease summer power shortages.
